Task #13 -exploring Del.icio.us

It never ceases to amaze me just how much stuff there is on the internet. Stuff everywhere, on any subject, in any language. Marvelous.

I decided for my first 'go' at searching the site I'd look to see who breeds Bengal cats- because they're cute and I want one. I found this list of people al over the world who breed them, including the Chzec Republic- but not in Australia! Someone must breed them here...

I also found this for my daughter who has started to collect owls:



She is very fussy about the ones she gets. She's a very crafty person who can make almost anything, so i thought if she could make her own owls she can be as fussy as she likes! I would say she could easily make one for you if you wanted one- having just started to save money to buy a house (FINALLY) she's looking to get all the crafty work she can.

Task #12 -Rollyo search engines

Now I'm going to spend hours browsing at my favourite shop, even though it's on the other side of the world. WHY WON'T SOMEONE OPEN A HABITAT IN MELBOURNE!?

Anyway, I started a Rollyo. You can see the little picture of it on the side of my blog. At least I can, i don't know if others can see it.

More playing with flickr

I figured out how to make pretty pictures using Flickr toys, and my daughter's pictures, because I don't have a digital camera. I haven't finished with the 20th century yet.

Task #11 -Library thing

So now I've signed up to library thing. Added a few books that I enjoy reading, and I'll probably never go back there!

Task #10 Image generators

There are far too many of these things out there. I can see now why my daughter can easily spend all day on the internet- so many time wasting oppurtunities! This is a candy heart generator I found via one of the links.

Task #5 Exploring Flickr

Well here I am back again, still don't know if I'm enamoured of this but let's see how we progress.

This picture was taken by my daughter Penny looking over the valley that holds Coal Creek, where she is the caretaker. She has alot of absolutely amazing photos on her Flickr site- click the photo if you want to see them. Penny has a blog as well, for her design clients to see her work in progress and any news on her ebay store and art exhibitions.

Task #7 this time it's technology!

Well, here we are again, I have been on hols? for two weeks so am madly trying to catch up, this time we are supposed to talk about technology, technology for me is anything that does not require a pencil, pen, flicking a switch or turning a dial. I remeber the days when you got up from your desk and WENT and talked to the person in the next office, room, house, street or shop. You received letters in your actual letter box (not bills), filled with family gossip, news and if you where lucky glitter. Your fridge, washing machine or car, did not have conversations with you and did not constantly remind you that "you have left the door open" (both car and fridge.) But don't get me wrong in some ways I LOVE technology, for instance, my youngest has just taken off to England to live, and I can chat to him send him emails all in the blink of an eye, he is no longer , a two week wait for the letter to arrive, away. He has promised to 'upload' all his pictures to send to me so that I can just print off the ones I want. You've got love that sort of technology!
